Not to pick on your comment specifically, but I see this type of statement a lot and it sort of drives me crazy. As always, generalizations tend to fail us when analyzing specific media. In the individual cases where something is produced mostly for "elite" agendas, there's usually a trail of spooks and ex-spooks hiding in plain site. Additionally, "problematic" content simply doesn't get produced in the first place if it goes against the general grain(s) of society. It's substantially more likely that people who write and design these movies recreationally follow a lot of the same material we do and it reflects in their creative process, to say nothing of the potential impact of the so-called "collective subconscious."Īgain, there is no doubt that Hollywood productions serve as vehicles for propaganda campaigns, but I think in a lot of cases that's a function of the creators already being influenced and indoctrinated throughout the course of their lives ("useful idiots"). In this particular instance, whereas it's interesting that the world drains into the rough location of Area 51, all of these ideas are floating around on the Internet already. but then that's probably not leading to disclosure, that's straight up adding propaganda elements. Like when NASA or the Air Force consult on a project. Kidding aside, maybe certain things in movies are type of "disclosure", but I would want to see some stronger government/institution connection to a particular film. wrote the awful Pan movie and the perfectly paint by numbers Wonder Woman)? Blue Sky Studios (who I can't believe Disney hasn't disbanded or sold already after acquiring)? Chris Wedge, co-founder of Blue Sky (and the voice of Scrat!)? Queen Latifah?! Who is "they" in this scenario? The directors, Steve Martino (of Horton Hears a Who and The Peanuts Movie "fame" ) and Michael Thurmeier (who has only served in a higher capacity on the Ice Age films)?
